Police recovered the body of an adult male from the Charles River in Boston on Friday afternoon.
The call came in around 3:45 p.m. for a possible body in the river near the Massachusetts Avenue Bridge, according to Massachusetts State Police.
State police patrol units arrived and confirmed that the subject was obviously deceased. A marine unit responded to recover the body.
Aerial footage from Sky Ranger showed numerous police cruisers and emergency personnel assembled along the waterfront, and a boat in the water a short distance from the shore.
The Suffolk County District Attorney's Office said the body has been identified but, as there is no sign of foul play, no name will not be released to the public.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is currently working to determine exact cause and manner of death.
