A woman was pulled back safely onto a platform after falling onto the the tracks at South Station on Wednesday.
The woman, who was believed to have suffered a medical emergency, fell around 6:07 p.m. while standing on the platform, according to MBTA officials.
Fellow passengers assisted her in getting her off the tracks.
She was transported to a local area hospital for treatment of a non life-threatening injury.
At no time was she in danger of being struck by a train, according to the MBTA.
