Jury resumes deliberations in Lopes trial
Deliberations continue Wednesday in the Emmanuel Lopes trial. The judge gave the jurors the day off Tuesday but on Monday, they told the judge they couldn’t reach a verdict. This is the second time Lopes has been on trial for the murder of a Weymouth police officer and bystander back in 2018. A judge declared a mistrial last July.
