NASA astronaut Matthew Dominick shared a timelapse of Hurricane Milton from aboard the International Space Station.

FEMA spokesman Marty Bahamonde issued a dire warning to Floridians to follow evacuation orders ahead of Hurricane Milton’s landfall. “People have to realize that if they don’t evacuate and all of a sudden they get into trouble, there may not be help that will be able to come and save you,” Bahamonde said.

That would be on top of the carnage already left behind by Hurricane Helene, posing a potential record-breaking path of wreckage.

Lines of cars took to Interstate 75 as Floridians left the area ahead of Hurricane Milton’s landfall.

Hurricane Milton is expected to make landfall late Wednesday or early Thursday in Florida.
