She joins us from Lynchburg, Virginia, where she was the Good Morning Virginia meteorologist for three years. Before that, Sydney got her Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Florida State University and began her career in Bristol, Virginia.
Sydney also built strong relations with the Central and Southwest Virginia communities. There, she worked with the Lynchburg Humane Society fostering cats. She also did many school and Girl Scout troop visits to peak young girls' interest in STEM careers.
Sydney is no stranger to snow and snow forecasting — she is from Upstate New York. Her interest in meteorology came at a young age from the many snow and ice storms she witnessed.
