Though Bush Hager, whose dad was later president in the early aughts, was unsuccessful with her fake kidnapping ploy, she has noted that she and her twin sister Barbara Bush always had fun messing with their parents, including having them use fun feline names for each other.

“When we were little, we made our parents call us by our cat names," Bush Hager shared during the March 17 episode of "Today With Jenna & Friends," noting her name was Rosebud. “My mom was Marmalade. My dad was Tummy Tuff and I can’t remember what Barbara was... oh, Stripes!"

She continued, "We would crawl to my parents. I know, it's odd. It's become odder as time has gone by. But I am full cat. I like to lounge. I like to take names. I like to read."
