Boston police say two stabbing victims walked into the department's Washington Street station and were then rushed to local hospitals with life-threatening injuries.

Police had released very little information as of Saturday night. They have not identified the victims or the suspects, or said if they are known to each other, and they haven't said what they believe led up to the double stabbing.

Detectives were canvassing the streets outside of the District E-13 station Saturday night, and yellow police tape was used to section off a large area on Woodside Avenue near Washington Street, with several evidence markers visible on the ground.

No other information was immediately available. An investigation is ongoing.
