Woman killed in Dorchester shooting

Authorities said they located a woman suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Boston Police were called to the scene of a woman who was shot in Dorcester Saturday afternoon. She was rushed to the hospital where she died of her injuries. A second person had been shot in the same location. Police are looking for the person responsible.

A woman is dead and another person was injured in a shooting in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston on Saturday morning.

Boston police say they responded to a report of shots fired on 12 Greenock St. at around 5:26 a.m.

Authorities said they located a woman, identified Monday as 29-year-old Princess Charles of Quincy, suffering from life-threatening injuries. Charles was transported to a local hospital, were she was pronounced dead.

A second person who was shot transported themselves to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

There have been no arrests at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
