Boston Medical Center delivered the Hub's first baby of 2019.
Adeline Bridie Brennan was born at BMC exactly at midnight. She weighed in at 7 pounds, 1.6 ounces and measured 19.5 inches long, according to a hospital press release. BMC says both mom, Alana Brennan, and the New Year baby were doing well Tuesday morning.
Boston hospitals coordinate with each other on New Year's Day to determine the first baby born in the city. This year, BMC had the honors of welcoming Adeline with 2019's honors.
BMC also credited the delivery team, which included obstetricians Teju Adegoke and Briana Perry, along with nurses Meghan Molnar and Marrina Falcone.
