A suspect is in custody after an attempted bank robbery in Boston's Roslindale neighborhood on Monday morning.
Boston police said they were called to the TD Bank located at 930 American Legion Highway shortly after 10 a.m. for a bank robbery. The suspect reportedly left a note but did not show a weapon.
"We seen the cop cars flying in and out. One of them — I thought he was going to turn over his car how fast he pulled out of here," said witness Armondo Barros.
Upon arrival, officers immediately located the suspect as he was walking to a parked vehicle nearby. He was placed in custody after a brief struggle which resulted in minor injuries to three officers on scene.
Police identified the suspect as Donald Martin, 60, of Boston. He is expected to appear in West Roxbury District Court Tuesday on charges of unarmed robbery and larceny over $250. It's unclear if he has an attorney.
