A gathering of protesters stalled traffic Wednesday morning in Dorchester as commuters attempted to access the on-ramp of the expressway.
The protesters picketed outside of National Grid on the 200 block of Victory Road to contest what they described as the company’s "unfair and reckless negotiating tactics." National Grid said the unions "rejected our fair and balanced final offer."
Several workers had their contracts expire on Sunday and offered to continue working while the company bargains with union leaders. However, the workers were locked out of the building.
