Lynna Chafin, a neighbor, described the victim as an "angel" to the neighborhood who spent a lot of time at the Jack Satter House senior living community helping others.
"She was an amazing woman, I’m devastated,' Chafin said. "It’s something that shocking for all of us and I know it’s going to hit this neighborhood really hard. She’s been around for a long time and she meant a lot to all of us."
The accident closed Oak Island Street for about two hours Friday afternoon.
