Passengers were left waiting for hours as Amtrak service was delayed Tuesday.
Amtrak service between Boston and New Haven, Connecticut, was disrupted for hours Tuesday due to power issues, the railroad said in a statement.
Amtrak Northeast announced around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday that service was suspended. It started moving again around 8:30.

"It is very frustrating," said Erin McGarry, who was heading from New York City to Massachusetts when her Amtrak train suddenly stopped moving.
Her train sat near Kingston, Rhode Island, for over two hours, then started heading backwards to Westerley.

"Nobody seems to be responsive," she told NBC10 Boston while on board the train. "I've tried to tweet at Amtrak, 'What's going on?'"
Amtrak says trees came crashing down onto the tracks, resulting in power issues, and that halted service between Boston and New Haven.
"Not happy right now," said passenger Aleksa Dorsi at Boston's South Station. "I want to get home."
