Woman's death at Worcester massage parlor appears suspicious, police say

Worcester Police responded to Angie’s Body Work Spa on Pleasant St. for a report of a woman experiencing a medical issue.

Police are conducting a suspicious death investigation after a woman was found dead at a massage parlor in Worcester, Massachusetts, on Thanksgiving.

The Worcester Police Department says officers were called to Angie's Body Work Spa on Pleasant St. around 11:37 a.m. for a report of a woman experiencing a medical issue.

Once on scene, officers were flagged down by a man who brought them to a woman who was unconscious. Medical aid was performed, but Worcester EMS pronounced the woman dead.

More details were not provided about how the woman may have died, but police say her death appears to be suspicious.

Yellow police tape surrounded the business on Thursday, and neighbors say they were surprised to see all of the police cars outside the massage parlor.

"I'm shocked," said neighbor Richard Caballero. "That's odd for us to see this all day. Never seen this before."
