A man was shot and killed Friday afternoon in an apartment in Brockton, Massachusetts.

The shooting happened on Pleasant Street. Officers responded to a 911 call shortly before 3:30 p.m.

Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz later said a 54-year-old man was killed.

Cruz added that the case is not believed to be random.
