Two men are in custody after leading police on a high-speed chase and crashing into a pole in Brockton, Massachusetts, early Friday morning.
Jhovanni Jackson, 21, of the Bronx, N.Y., the suspected driver, and Aquan A. Hudson, 22, of Brockton, were taken to the hospital after losing control of the car and crashing on Pleasant Street and Route 27 around 2:15 a.m.
Troopers found loaded handguns - one with no serial number - ammunition and a ballistic vest in the car, according to Massachusetts State Police.
Both men were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Hudson was booked at a State Police barracks and is expected to be arraigned in Brockton District Court Friday, while Jackson remains under guard at the hospital.
The Boston Police Department had issued a “Be On the Lookout” bulletin for the car, a blue 2018 Mercedes-Benz sedan, after it fled the area of a shots fired call in Mattapan on Jan. 2.
A State Troopers saw the car on Route 28 in Milton at 2:02 a.m. Friday and followed it on Rt 24S. Two other Troopers responded to help and the three Massachusetts State Police patrols try to stop the car on Rt 24S, south of Harrison Blvd (Exit 19).

The driver of the car refused to stop, according to police, and sped away from them. Police said the suspect abruptly took Exit 18, Rt 27 south, into Brockton. The pursuit ended by that time but police saw the car continue to speed down Rt 27 toward Brockton.
The driver lost control and crashed into a pole when approaching the intersection of Rt 27 and West Avenue. State Police and Brockton Police took both people in the car into custody. Boston PD was notified.
In the car they found a loaded polymer 9mm handgun with no serial number, a loaded Kahr Arms 9mm handgun, two Kahr magazines, one 33-round large capacity magazine, 48 rounds of 9mm ammunition and a ballistic armor vest carrier.
Both men are charged with illegal possession of firearms, carrying loaded firearms, possession of a large capacity feeding device, and unlawful possession of ammunition.
Jackson is also charged with multiple motor vehicle offenses, use of body armor in a felony, resisting arrest and refusing to identify himself to police. Hudson, the passenger, was found to be the subject of two outstanding warrants and was additionally charged accordingly.
