Carrabba's Italian Grill in Peabody Has Closed

by Marc Hurwitz

Yet another restaurant chain has disappeared from the local landscape, with this one being known for its Italian-American fare.

According to a source, Carrabba's Italian Grill in Peabody appears to be closed, with a check on the website of the business seeming to confirm that the dining spot on Route 1 is indeed no longer in business, as it has been removed from the locations section. This was the sole location of the chain in the local area, with the only other outlets in New England being in West Springfield, Bedford, NH, and Warwick, RI--and it is one of several chains to leave the Boston area over the past several years, including Macaroni Grill, Noodles and Company, Rainforest Cafe, Saladworks, Denny's, Bugaboo Creek, Old Country Buffet, and Bonefish Grill.

Carrabba's offered such dishes as chicken marsala, shrimp parmesan, lasagna, lobster ravioli, pork chops, pizza, and spaghetti and meatballs.

The address for this now-closed restaurant in Peabody was: Carrabba's Italian Grill, 1A Newbury Street (Route 1), Peabody, MA, 01960. The website for the chain can be found at https://www.carrabbas.com/
