Firefighters battled a massive blaze in a vacant building in Chelsea, Massachusetts, on Thursday morning.
The fire was reported around 10 a.m. at the former site of Russo Tux and Formal Wear on Revere Beach Parkway. Photos from the scene showed flames shooting from the windows of the building, and heavy smoke pouring from the area as multiple ladder trucks dumped water on the blaze.

The building was mostly vacant, but a small church still used part of the building for services on weekends.

Fire crews from several neighboring communities responded to the blaze.
Officials said it was a difficult fire to fight, and it was too dangerous to send firefighters inside the building.
There was no immediate word if anyone was hurt, but fire officials said it does not appear that anyone was inside at the time.
Firefighters were working to save a small apartment building located next door. About 15 people live in the building and all of them were able to get out safely.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but officials believe it might have started in the basement.
