Authorities say a teenager died after being hit by a vehicle on Monday night in Leominster, Massachusetts.
Officers and fire crews responded to the Market Basket on Sack Boulevard, near the Mall at Whitney Field, shortly after 6 p.m. for a report of a pedestrian crash involving a juvenile.

The child who was hit was taken to Leominster Hospital and died a short time later. The Worcester District Attorney's Office identified the victim as 13-year-old Ezra Millard, a Leominster resident.

"The Leominster Police Department extends their sincere condolences to all who are impacted by this tragic event," Police Chief Ryan Malatos said in a statement.
The driver of a Chevrolet Silverado, registered in Maine, stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police say.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing by the Leominster police and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the district attorney's office.
As of Tuesday afternoon, no charges have been filed and investigators have not said if they intend to do so.
