One occupant is dead after a crash on Interstate 495 in Franklin, Massachusetts, on Friday night.
The accident occurred at 8:05 p.m. State police said a preliminary investigation revealed that a woman driving a 2011 Subaru Forester in the right lane at a "high rate of speed."
"For reasons still under investigation, it veered into the middle travel lane where it struck a 2016 Toyota RAV4," police said.
Police identified the woman in the vehicle as 27-year-old Emily Smith of Ashland but did not indicate whether she was the driver. the driver and two passengers of the Toyota were uninjured, according to police.
