According to the district attorney, the Millbury Police Department responded to a Millbury Avenue home after receiving a 911 call around 3 p.m. and found one person dead inside.
Another man, who the DA identified as the 911 caller, was found in the back of the house, and he was taken to UMass Memorial Hospital where he was treated for injuries. Early said he couldn't elaborate on how the man was injured but said he had been charged with aggravated assault and battery.

The district attorney added that the investigation is in the earliest stages, and a search warrant was being written as he was speaking Saturday night.
Millbury's police chief said he wanted residents to know that this was an isolated incident, and there is no danger to the public.

Officials do not yet have a cause and manner of death for the victim, Early said. Authorities have not released the names of the victim or man who has been charged.
"We are so early into this investigation, we're going to let the professionals do their work. They do a great job. And we'll go wherever the evidence takes us," he added.
Early credited dispatchers, Millbury police and state police for how quickly they responded Saturday. Video from the scene showed several police vehicles parked outside the home, and yellow crime scene tape had been placed around its exterior.
Millbury police and state police are working together on the investigation, which is active and ongoing.
