Dive Teams Search Notown Reservoir in Leominster

Aerial footage showed what appears to be a partially submerged canoe in the water

Dive teams searched the Notown Reservoir in Leominster, Massachusetts, on Thursday afternoon but didn't find anyone in the water.

Aerial footage showed what appears to be a partially submerged canoe in the water off Palmer Road. Dive teams were in the water and numerous emergency vehicles were at the scene.

But officials said no one was believed to have been in the water, and that they were disposing of the canoe.

UPDATE: the scene has cleared. Officials do not believe anyone was in the water. The canoe was removed and will be disposed of.
