Boston police are still searching for the people behind a deadly shooting in the city's Dorchester neighborhood while the community mourns the victims, who neighbors say were a father and son.
The shooting occurred at about 6:42 p.m. Monday inside of a triple-decker home on Trent Street, according to police.

When officers arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds. They were taken to the hospital, where one of them died, police said.
The second is expected to survive.

Neighbors say the victims were father and son, and they believe the father lost his life while trying to save his son. They say the deceased was a mechanic who raced scooters in the Dominican Republic and fixed scooters in Dorchester.
“I was having some issues with the scooter and the first person I wanted to touch my engine it was him," one neighbor said.
“He was a good dude he was dude that would help anybody," another said.
No arrests have been made at this point, according to police, who said they believe they're searching for more than one person.
The shooting remains under investigation.
