Drivers are being warned about major delays on Route 9 eastbound in Newton, Massachusetts, following a multi-vehicle crash.
A three-car crash shut down Route 9 East Tuesday afternoon around 2 p.m. As of 9:30 p.m., one lane has re-opened.
A utility pole was downed in the accident, according to the department's Twitter page. There were no major injuries in the crash, and a HAZ-Mat team responded to examine a leaking transformer.
A replacement pole has arrived at the scene at the corner of Parker Street.
