A gorgeous weekend around New England with above average temperatures.
Morning fog will dissipate and yield to a mostly sunny day, highs will be in the 70s at the coast, but closer to 80 inland. Keep an eye out for continued high surf and rip currents at south facing beaches as swells from Florence keep working north.
On Sunday, there may be a few extra clouds over the mountains of Northern New England, with a sprinkle or two but most of us look to stay dry.
Quiet start to the week with highs in the low 80s though high clouds will increase over the region ahead of the remnants of Florence which are expected to move up from the south and arrive Monday night.
Rain will arrive first in Western New England late Monday into Tuesday, then rounds of tropical rains will likely continue Tuesday into very early Wednesday as the rain moves east. Models suggest up to 5” of rain in some spots, so we will monitor this closely being that there could be a flash flood threat on Tuesday. It will also be muggy during this time.
The end of the week will gradually turn cooler and closer to average for this time of year.
