MBTA Green Line service was disrupted in downtown Boston Monday as crews worked to repair a cracked rail between Arlington and Boylston.
The agency said the damaged rail was discovered around 2 p.m. on the eastbound side of the tracks. The cause of the crack is under investigation, though cold weather can be a contributing factor.
