With Christmas just days away, the holiday travel rush is officially underway.
Millions of Americans are making final preparations before hitting the roads or taking to the skies. Thursday is expected to be the busiest day at airports, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

Boston Logan International Airport welcomed tons of passengers who were headed to their holiday destinations.
"We are very excited! Are you excited?" said Becky Merberd, who was headed to Florida. "But we are not excited about this."

However, part of the getting to the holiday destination is the journey, which includes a long Transportation Security Administration line.
"I wish I had a teleportation machine, just about that. I don't know, it's just such a long line," said Tristan Hofeldt, who was headed to Atlanta.
TSA is expecting to screen at least 2.5 million people nationwide — per day — from now until Jan. 2, which if it happens, could lead to the second busiest holiday travel period on record since the turn of century.
Travelers are being urged to arrive at least two hours before their scheduled flight.
