The Piscataqua River Bridge connecting New Hampshire and Maine via Interstate 95 has reopened after a shutdown for a police situation Tuesday afternoon.
New Hampshire State Police said in a social media post at 1:50 p.m. that I-95 was closed in both directions at the state line near the bridge for an "active police situation." Around 3:30 p.m., the bridge had reopened. Police said the situation involved a person suffering a mental health crisis.

That person was taken into custody safely.
