Thousands of New Englanders lost power Wednesday morning as a powerful storm blasted the region.
The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency reported 3,067 customers without electricity as of 2 p.m., down from over 6,000 on Wednesday morning.

About 3,600 New Hampshire electric customers were also without power on Wednesday afternoon.

Maine and Vermont were the hardest hit, with 28,000 and 24,000 customers still without electricity, respectively, as of 3 p.m.
Rhode Island only had 200 customers without power and Connecticut 1,400.
