A 63-year-old Watertown, Massachusetts, man is in critical condition after he was hit by a truck in Waltham on Wednesday morning.
The accident occurred around 6:52 a.m. at the corner of Main and Bacon streets.

Police said the man appears to have stepped off the curb into a crosswalk in front of a Peterbilt truck that was traveling eastbound on Main Street. The man was taken to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
No charges have been filed at this time. The truck was driven by a 27-year-old Norton man.

The crash remains under investigation by Waltham police.
