Man stabbed to death in Dorchester; 38-year-old arrested

A Dorchester man is under arrest in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred in the Boston neighborhood on Friday night.

Boston police officers responded to a reported stabbing at around 10 p.m. near Peabody Square. The man was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The victim has since been identified as 52-year-old David Abrain, of Roxbury.

According to police, detectives who were investigating the murder canvassed the area for surveillance video. Authorities say they observed a man matching the description of the suspect who fatally stabbed the victim. Police were able to identify the suspect as 38-year-old David Adams, of Dorchester, and took him into custody.

Adams is charged with murder and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on Monday. It is unclear if he has an attorney.
