A man allegedly posed as an Uber driver and kidnapped a woman leaving a Boston nightclub last month before sexually raping her at a Rhode Island home, prosecutors say.

Alvin Campbell Jr. — the brother of Boston City Councilor Andrea Campbell — was held on $250,000 cash bail after pleading not guilty Thursday to kidnapping and rape charges.

According to court documents, the woman said she was leaving the Harp club after attending a holiday party on Dec. 7 when she requested an Uber ride. She said she walked outside and saw a vehicle that did not match the description of the Uber car she had ordered, but got into the car after the driver called her name.

The woman, who had become intoxicated at the party, said did not recall what happened while she was a passenger, the documents said. She said it should have been about a five to ten-minute ride to her home from the bar.

Campbell drove the woman to Cumberland, Rhode Island, and raped her, authorities said.

The woman said she recalled waking up naked with the same person who had picked her up, and that he was naked too, the documents said.

According to the documents, the two left the home when the man said he wanted to get a breakfast sandwich before work. After stopping at a Dunkin' restaurant, the man allegedly dropped the woman off at a CVS.

The man indicted for the kidnapping death of 23-year-old Jassy Correia pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in federal court in Boston Tuesday morning.

Campbell was arrested after authorities identified his vehicle by analyzing surveillance footage and GPS data.

Campbell is a suspect in two other sexual assaults, prosecutors said.

Andrea Campbell, elected to the City Council in November 2015, said she was “heartbroken, saddened and devastated” about the news.

“I will continue to pray for the victim who had the courage to come forward and I want her to get all of the supports, services, and protections she is entitled to,” she said in a statement. “I will also pray for my brother. I’m trusting that the judicial process will ensure that justice is served."

A Charlestown man is being held without bail as he faces charges in the aggravated rape and kidnapping of a woman.

Alvin Campbell’s alleged attack was the third time last year that a woman was kidnapped after attending a nightclub.

In January, a man kidnapped a 23-year-old woman who was leaving Hennessy’s Bar and held her against her will in his Charlestown home for days before she was found. Victor Pena was indicted on one count of kidnapping and 10 counts of aggravated rape for the attack.

A month later, 23-year-old Jassy Correia went missing. The young mother from Lynn was celebrating her birthday at Venu nightclub before her disappearance. Her body was found days later in the trunk of Louis Coleman III’s vehicle.
