Massachusetts Snowfall Totals Map: How Much Fell Friday?

Some areas had already seen 9 inches of snow as of noon Friday

NBC Universal, Inc.

A steady snow that started in the predawn hours Friday brought varying accumulation across New England. Some areas were close to a foot of snow by the time the storm ended late in the day, while other spots were contending with a sloppy mix of sleet and ice.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for most of New England, and governors across the region had urged residents to stay off the roads if possible, and slow down and keep a safe distance from plows if driving.
