Massachusetts Statehouse, Other Buildings Vandalized Over Weekend

State police said most of the tags consisted of words and random letters

Massachusetts State Police are investigating graffiti left on the Statehouse and two nearby buildings over the weekend.

Police say the Statehouse's exterior was vandalized in two places, while a Department of Conservation and Recreation guard building and a private residence were also defaced.

The graffiti was discovered at about 2 a.m. Sunday.

Most of the tags consisted of words and random letters, except for the guard house, which had splashes of paint on it. The exact words and letters were not made public to preserve the integrity of the investigation.

Police say the vandalism was likely done by the same suspect who tagged the Statehouse, other buildings, and a car in the same area earlier this winter.
