A crash on Interstate 93 in Medford, Massachusetts, sent four people to the hospital and caused major delays on Thursday morning.
Troopers responded to I-93 south near exit 24 just after 5 a.m. for a three-vehicle crash, according to Massachusetts State Police, who said one of the vehicles hit was part of a road detail.

Two drivers, one adult passenger and a juvenile passenger were taken to the hospital with injuries, police said. The extent of their injuries wasn't released.
The breakdown and right travel lanes were closed for about an hour, police said.
