Remains recovered in Falmouth confirmed to be those of man missing since June

Police in Falmouth say they found human remains while searching for a man who has been missing since June.

Authorities confirmed Tuesday that human remains found while searching around a park in Falmouth, Massachusetts, earlier this week were those of a man who had been missing for about two months.

Falmouth police searched Monday in and around Goodwill Park in connection with the disappearance of 44-year-old Adam Wacholder. The Cape and Islands District Attorney's Office confirmed Tuesday that the remains were Wacholder's.

He had last been seen on June 13 and was reported missing three days later.

His mother, Peggy Lynn, had told NBC10 Boston that the family had been working every angle to bring the "kind and gentle and shy" man home. He had reportedly missed medical appointments and left his phone behind, though his keys, wallet, backpack and all of his medications were missing.
