Milford police later said Generoso Daniel, 26, of Milford, had been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of a butcher shop last week.
According to police, following an extensive investigation, officers surrounded a multi-unit building in Milford where Generoso lives after learning that he and two others wanted for the armed robbery may have been inside one of the apartments.

“My brother called me and he goes ‘I just looked out our bathroom window and there’s a police officer in the neighbor’s yard next door with a rifle’,” said Ti Ferrelli.
Investigators believed the suspects could be heavily armed. A regional SWAT team was called in to assist during the standoff.
Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino told NBC10 Boston that Generoso came outside with a child and was taken into custody. West Street was shutdown until he was safely placed under arrest.
“There were a bunch of people in the building that had nothing to do with the incident but we thought these other participants were there and certainly we thought there were firearms,” said Tusino.
Police cleared the tenants out of the building, but there was no sign of the two other suspects investigators were looking for. They remain on the run.
Meantime, there was another armed robbery at a market in Milford on Monday. Someone with two knives tried to stab a clerk before stealing money from the register.
Police are looking into whether it’s connected to last week’s armed robbery but there’s no indication of a link as of right now.
