Firefighters battled a blaze in an apartment building in Salem, Massachusetts, on Friday morning.
The fire was reported shortly after 6 a.m. in a 14-unit apartment building on Lafayette Street.

Arriving firefighters said they found flames coming from a window.
"Fire was showing out of the front window -- it was a bedroom that was fully engulfed," Salem Fire Chief Alan Dionne said.

One resident was found unconscious in the front hallway. He was revived and taken to Salem Hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries is not yet known, and his name has not been released.
Two other apartments in the building were damaged in the fire.
No further details were immediately available.
