After a violent confrontation, police arrested a man accused of attacking a person with a frying pan and a ceramic vase early Thursday morning in Boston's South End.
When Marco Velez heard the commotion, he immediately grabbed his cell phone and looked out his hotel window. At the time, he had no way of knowing he would be watching a man jump out of a room at the Chandler Inn, onto an awning, and down to the street as police moved in to apprehend him.
As Velez started recording out of his seventh floor hotel room, he watched as another guest, three floors below him, started throwing furniture out the window.
"He is mad at the world, woke me up," Velez says in the video. "Got to love Boston, right?"
"We had a couple of guests that stopped getting along in the middle of the night," Clifford Long, the owner of Chandler Inn said. "They trashed our room. This room was looking pretty good yesterday."
Inside the third floor room, dried blood was smeared on the walls, the TV was ripped out of the wall and broken glass littered the carpet.
"It must have been an incredible fight, there is blood on the walls," Long said. "I take it a bit personally, it is like someone destroying your home."
