A driver was pinned between two vehicles involved in a crash Tuesday afternoon in West Newbury, Massachusetts.
The rear-end crash happened around 4 p.m. at the intersection of Ferry Lane and Bridge Street. Fire officials say a 48-year-old man who was driving one of the vehicles was found wedged between them.

The man was airlifted to a Boston-area hospital. His injuries are described as serious, but they are not believed to be life-threatening, according to the West Newbury Fire Department.
State and local police are investigating the cause of the crash.
