South Burlington and Vermont state police said they were informed Wednesday by Concord police of a fugitive who was in South Burlington. Logan Clegg, 26, who is homeless, was wanted as a fugitive in the state of Utah and had been seen by New Hampshire police detectives on Williston Road in South Burlington.

Clegg was located at the South Burlington Public Library and he was taken into custody without incident with assistance from Vermont State Police, South Burlington police said. He was held on bail and transported to the Northwest State Correctional Facility in Swanton.

He was scheduled to be arraigned at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Chittenden Superior Court as a fugitive from justice. It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.

Clegg was wanted out of Cache County, Utah, related to a felony possession of stolen property case for which he is on probation, police said. The arrest warrant was issued in 2021. He had flown to Portugal in June 2021, missing a probation meeting the next month, according to court documents

Authorities investigating the murders of a husband and wife in Concord, New Hampshire, released a sketch of a person of interest.

Clegg is a person of interest in an unsolved homicide that occurred in Concord in April, the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office said, specifying the homicide in question was the deaths of Stephen and Djeswende Reid. However, New Hampshire prosecutors noted that no arrests have been made in the Concord killings, or charges filed.

While New Hampshire authorities haven't called Clegg a suspect in the double killing in Concord, the court paperwork filed by the South Burlington Police Department identified him as the suspect in the case. It said he was transient and had no ties to Concord.

On Tuesday, Concord police learned that Clegg had purchased a one-way ticket from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York to Berlin on Friday, according to the South Burlington police. Concord police detectives were involved in arresting Clegg at the South Burlington Public Library.
