Police say a male victim has died after being shot Tuesday in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood.
The shooting happened on Michigan Avenue, according to police. Officers responded just after 8 p.m.

The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene, said Paul McLaughlin, deputy superintendent of the Boston Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division.
"This is a very active investigation," McLaughlin said. "Detectives are canvassing the area for video and witnesses."

No arrests have been made.
Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden said the investigation is still in its early stages.
"We need the community's help with any information that they can provide," he said. "This is an unfortunate incident. One homicide in this city is one too many, plain and simple. What's happened here tonight is another act of completely senseless violence."
