Authorities are investigating a double shooting that left one man dead and another injured during the early hours of Tuesday morning in Brockton, Massachusetts.
The shooting broke out shortly around 1:30 a.m. near 69 Tremont Street, Brockton police said.

When officers arrived at the scene of the shooting, they found the two victims outside of a 2007 Mazda 3 that was parked in the middle of the road, police said.
One victim, a 36-year-old man, had been shot in the face. He was transported to Brockton Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:28 a.m., according to police.

The second victim, a 38-year-old man, was suffering from gunshot wounds to the leg and torso. He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment. A third person who was in the car was not injured, police said.
Local and state police could be seen working around the white car around 5 a.m. Tuesday. The car was towed from the scene shortly after. Part of the road was blocked off Tuesday morning.
Brockton police, Massachusetts State Police and the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office are investigating.
