Three people were stabbed during a "targeted" home invasion on Sunday night in Quincy, Massachusetts, police said, adding that they've identified the person they believe is responsible.
The Quincy Police Department got several calls reporting a possible home invasion on Granite Street at around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, a news release from Chief Paul Keenan said. Police got reports that shots were fired and people were stabbed.

Police found four people in the home, three of whom were injured, police said. First responders helped the people who were wounded, and took them to nearby hospitals. Police said they had all since been released and are expected to recover.
A friend of the victims, who did not want to be identified, told NBC10 Boston that the residents were held up by a stranger. The group tried to disarm the attacker, grabbing knives and other items for the kitchen. In the struggle several people were hurt, including the intruder.

Janice Malvesti, who lives next door, said her neighbors are nice people and she was surprised by what happened.
"Shocked, nothing ever happens in this neighborhood, it’s a beautiful quiet neighborhood," she said.
Authorities in Quincy said the suspect left the area, but has been identified and will face charges in Quincy District Court. Investigators believe the home was "specifically targeted" and that there is no active threat in the area.
On Tuesday, the Norfolk District Attorney's Office said that it had been told no one was in custody yet as of 8:15 a.m.
An investigation is ongoing, and anyone who has more information has been urged to contact police in Quincy.
