Man killed in stabbing in Chelsea

Police said the man's death is considered suspicious

A man was found stabbed to death in a park in Chelsea, Massachusetts, Friday, and police are searching for his killer.

A man was killed in a stabbing in Chelsea, Massachusetts, on Friday morning, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office confirmed.

The victim was found unresponsive in Voke Park near Washington Avenue around 7 a.m. Friday, according to police. He is believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s., and has yet to be identified.

Police said the death is considered suspicious. The DA's office confirmed they were investigating the case as a fatal stabbing.

Nekita Martin, who lives near the park, was stunned to see the police investigation.

"The body was already covered when I approached the scene," Martin told NBC10 Boston. "This is my neighborhood so I thought of first my family of course and then anybody close to me."

The park was closed until the early afternoon as police combed the area looking for evidence. Detectives are looking for any witnesses or surveillance footage from the area.
