Police in Marlborough, Massachusetts, say authorities have located a man considered armed and dangerous who escaped police custody while undergoing a medical procedure this weekend at UMass Marlborough Hospital.
Marlborough police announced Sunday evening that 24-year-old Isaac Rivera was back in custody, while thanking the Milford Police Department for their assistance.

Police hadn't said when or how exactly Rivera escaped but their update came hours after police said earlier Sunday that they were looking for Rivera, who was last seen wearing a hospital gown and yellow socks.
At the time of his escape, Rivera was in custody on several charges, including domestic assault and battery, strangulation, assault and battery on a police officer and illegal possession of a firearm. Police said he had ties to several Massachusetts communities, including Ashland, Natick, Lowell and Milford -- where he was found.

"He had a couple communities that he may have been associated with, Milford being one of them," Milford Police Officer Kevin O'Loughlin said. "I had spoken with their command staff there today and we had come up with a plan to search a couple residences and see if he was in our town and ultimately he was."
O'Loughlin said they started their operation around 4 p.m. by checking out a couple of addresses that ultimately led to a residence on West Fountain Street that police believed to be Rivera's girlfriend's house.
Police were given the OK to enter the home and ultimately located Rivera in a rear bedroom Their K9 unit ordered Rivera to come out, and he "complied with every command given to him," O'Loughlin said, calling it a peaceful resolution.
"It's good, it's a person that was considered armed and dangerous, a person that's a threat to the community. We were able to take them back into custody in a safe manner, so that's the most important thing," O'Loughlin said. "No one was hurt and he's back in custody where he should be."
Rivera was transported to Milford before being released to Marlborough.
O'Loughlin said he didn't have further details on the medical procedure that Rivera was undergoing or know how he got out of the hospital. Milford police are also still piecing together how Rivera got to his girlfriend's house -- O'Loughlin said she won't be facing any charges.
Rivera won't face additional charges out of Milford, either, O'Loughlin said, but it's unclear if Marlborough police will add any.
