More than $10,000 are being offered in the search for Harmony Montgomery, a girl who's been missing from Manchester, New Hampshire, for more than two years, police said Monday, also announcing the creation of a new, dedicated tip line.

"Help us find this little girl. Someone knows something, do what is right and call in," Manchester Police Chief Allen Aldenberg said at a news conference.

He emphasized that even year-old information sent in to the new tip line, 603-203-6060, would be useful: "Knowing where she was can help us narrow down where she is now."

The line is being staffed around the clock and information can be sent in by voice or text message.

"It's horrible," said Kevin Montgomery, Harmony's grand uncle. "Frustrating, we're heartbroken."

The rewards for information that leads to finding Harmony total $12,500. The money is being offered by two local businessmen and the Manchester CrimeLine, which made an exception to offer the reward in a missing persons case, Aldenberg said.

"Nothing makes sense," said Kevin Montgomery. "If there was a crime committed, somebody knows."

Police recently received a report that Harmony had not been seen since late 2019. Detectives have been investigating "non-stop" since becoming aware that Harmony was missing, the department said at the time, working in conjunction with the state Division for Children, Youth and Families and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

On Sunday, investigators searched a property on Gilford Street in Manchester in connection with the case, the Union Leader reported. Aldenberg said Monday that the people who live at that house now are not involved in the case, but have been cooperating.

"Don't play detective, don't play police officer. That is our job," Aldenberg said of theories people are concocting on social media.

Authorities in Manchester, New Hampshire, are looking for a child who was last seen two years ago.

Harmony is described as 4 feet tall, weighing about 50 pounds, with blond hair, blue eyes and glasses.

The last time she was seen, Aldenberg has said, was during a Manchester police call for service in October of 2019 at a residence in the city.

Aldenberg said investigators have spoken with members of the family, but isn't revealing who's been spoken with or whose custody Harmony should have been in. He has said the last time she was enrolled in school was in Massachusetts.

No Amber Alert has been issued, police have said, because investigators have not met the threshold for issuing one, given that there is no specific information about who Harmony might be with or a vehicle she might be in.

Aside from the new tip line, anyone with information on Harmony's whereabouts is asked to call Manchester police at 603-668-8711 or lead investigator Detective Jack Dunleavy at 603-792-5561. Anonymous tips can also be called in to the Manchester Crimeline 603-624-4040.
