Man arrested following hours long standoff in NH apartment

A 66-year-old man is under arrest after police say he barricaded himself inside an apartment in Concord, New Hampshire for several hours on Monday.

Concord Police responded to an apartment on Pleasant Street shortly after 9a.m. following what they described as a "criminal threatening" call.

Authorities shut down a section of the street as they responded to the incident. Police Hank Ussery, of Concord, New Hampshire, was taken into custody shortly before 5p.m., following the hourslong standoff.

Ussery is facing multiple charges including reckless conduct and a felon in possession of a weapon.

Ussery will be arraigned in Concord District Court on Tuesday. It is unclear if he has a lawyer.
