Pedestrian killed in crash on NH highway, northbound lanes now open

The investigation is ongoing, state police said

A pedestrian was killed in a crash on the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Nashua, New Hampshire, on Friday morning, according to police.

New Hampshire State Police said they first started getting calls about a person on the northbound highway around 5:30 a.m. The person was hit by a pickup truck a short time later, near mile marker 5.2.

Emergency crews responded and found the pedestrian, a man, had died of his injuries. The driver of the truck stopped and remained at the scene.

The victim has not been publicly identified.

The northbound side of the highway was closed for several hours for investigation. Two northbound lanes reopened shortly before 9 a.m., and all lanes had reopened around 9:15 a.m.
