Some businesses have been evacuated in Quincy as police and utility workers respond to a possible manhole fire Tuesday afternoon.
Quincy police say Hancock Street from Hannon Parkway to Granite Street was closed as they responded to the fire.
National Grid workers are on the scene.
It's unclear how many businesses were evacuated as a precaution.
Traffic, including buses on their routes in the area, has been diverted. Drivers are being warned to avoid the area.
